Netball Summer Season

Registration forms must be returned to the Front Office by Friday 24 August

Netball application form summer 2017_18 Summer-1odfuf7

Dear Parents,

All students in years 2 to 7 are invited to nominate for school netball in the 2018-2019 Summer season which runs from October to March. Registration forms can be collected from the front office.

The Eastern Districts Netball Association (EDNA) are also considering starting a Boy’s only competition. If you have a son aged 10-13 who would be interested please nominate on the registration form and indicate your child is interested in the Boy’s only competition. (Boys netball will only go ahead if there are enough teams nominating and we can find a parent volunteer coach).

Important Information:

  • Netball is open to both girls and boys (up to age 12, or nominate for the boys only comp)
  • Games will be held on Friday nights for the Summer season at times to be advised
  • Students must be 8 years old and above or turning 8 before the 31 December 2019

Please note teams will be registered with EDNA ONLY if there are sufficient parent volunteer coaches willing to coach/manage the teams. Cost is $60 per season and you will be invoiced by the school once you have been offered a place on a team.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Lisa Gleghorn (Netball Coordinator) on: 0438 553 755.

National Walk Safely to School Day

National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is on Friday 18 May 2018 but unfortunately this is on our pupil free day, therefore this year we will take part on Thursday 17th of May.   On this day we are asking families to walk to school or take public transport, instead of driving!

This community event promotes Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.  We also know children who are regularly physically active are healthier, perform better academically and are less likely to be overweight, which can lead to the long-term health issues.

So c’mon ditch the car and grab your sneakers and walk to school  on Thursday 17th of May!
